Film "Cerita Si Rimba" untuk Perlindungan Orangutan

Pontianak - WWF-Indonesia Program Kalimantan Barat menggelar kampanye perlindungan orangutan menggunakan media film ke masyarakat kawasan hutan di pehuluan Sungai Kapuas.

Koordinator Komunikasi Program Kalbar WWF-Indonesia, Syahirsah saat dihubungi di Pontianak, Minggu, mengatakan film dapat dengan mudah menyerap pesan yang disampaikan.

Ia mengatakan, ada satu film dokumenter yang ditayangkan di rumah adat betang Desa Senunuk, Kecamatan Batang Lupar, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, berjudul "The Story of Rimba" atau Cerita Si Rimba, yang dibuat oleh Wanamedia Lestari Foundation, Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation, dan GMM Film.

"Harapan kami, timbul kesadaran dari para pihak mengenai pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan hidup," kata Syahirsah.
